Owners Ben & Jennifer Day
Ben started his electrical career in 1982 in Newport News, VA where he worked toward and received his journeyman and Master electrician from Newport News Shipbuilding Apprentice School. He continued working on submarines and air craft carriers for several years before starting Olde Towne Electric. Ben, Jennifer and their daughter Jaclyn moved back home to Beaufort in 1997. After working a few months for another electrical contractor Ben decided to take a giant step and build Olde Towne Electric into a full time job.
Jennifer is the co-owner and office manager for Olde Towne Electric. She is also a graduate of Newport News Apprentice School as an Inside Machinist. She worked for four years as an electrician on board an aircraft carrier while going to school to obtain her Associate degree as a registered nurse.
Chris is a third generation electrician. His grandfather, Howard King, Sr, owned King Electric. Chris’ mother, Mattie Moye King Bridgers, is a retired electrical engineer with Greenville utilities. Howard King, Jr., uncle, owns King Electrical of Fayetteville. Chris is also an Eagle Scout with troop 826 from Greenville, NC. Chris started his career at King Electrical working on the bridge crew. Chris then moved to Greenville and began working for Robert Saieed, the owner of Open Circuit Electric. He honed his skills as an electrical journeyman. Chris wired roughly 50 houses for Open Circuit. He is very well trained in troubleshooting electrical problems. Chris moved to Carteret County in 2006 and has a son, Holton. He is the construction manager and an electrical journeyman for Olde Towne Electric.
Jaci is the daughter of Ben & Jennifer. She started helping on jobsites in high school and now works in the office. She is a 2009 graduate from East Carolina University with a degree in Economics. Jaci has been training and showing horses since 1991. She is married to Lee and together have two daughters, Ella and Alice. They all love being outside fishing, hunting, and horseback riding.
In the field.......
Originally from King, NC , Tony studied Industrial Electronics at Forsyth Tech. He worked at Salem electric for 10 years doing residential, commercial, and some industrial electrical work. He then earned his electrical license and started working at Arbor Acres in Winston-Salem in the maintenance department. After 8 years there Tony decided a change was in order and he and his family moved to the beach and started working for OTE. He enjoys hunting and fishing and spending time outside with his family.
Chris is originally from Wayne county and now lives in Cedar Point with his wife and two daughters. He has been doing electrical work since 1992 and has been with OTE since February 2016. On the weekends he enjoys hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and pets.
Jeff came to us from Johnson City, TN and currently lives in Morehead. He joined the OTE family in 2018 and hopes to one day become a licensed electrician. He is a quick learner and we are confident in his ability and thankful he is with OTE. His favorite hobby is surfing and he enjoys spending time with his family here in Carteret County.
Matt is originally from Davis shore and now lives in Otway with his family. He has been doing electrical work for years now and is an intregal part of the OTE family. He enjoys riding 4-wheelers and taking his boys fishing.
Ben decided the Crystal Coast was a great place to plant some roots after moving from Batavia, NY. He has been doing electrical work since 2000 and also has some contracting experience. He enjoys riding his motorcycle, hunting, and fishing. He spends his free time with his family.
Originally from Newport, NC, Kaisho started doing electrical work with his future father-in-law in the spring of 2017. He ended up enjoying the work more than he had anticipated and decided to pursue a career in the electrical contracting business. He has been a true asset to our company and continues to learn more about the trade. In his spare time he enjoys reading, sports, and spending time with family. He also dedicates his time on the weekends to coaching his church's Bible quiz team.
The daughter of Lee and Jaci, was born in 2011 in Morehead City. She loves being outside, playing in the water, and riding horses.
The youngest daughter of Lee & Jaci was born 6 weeks early after an exciting helicopter ride to Vidant in Greenville, NC. She is growing like a weed and loves to be cuddled.
The son of Chris, was born in 2009 in Greenville. He likes playing on the Wii, jumping on the trampoline, and building with Legos.
